Baby's size
About the size of a strawberry — 3.1cm.
What's happening
All vital organs are formed and now begin to mature. Nails are starting to develop on tiny fingers and toes.
Your body
You may notice slight visible changes to your abdomen, especially in second pregnancies.
Common symptoms
- Nausea (often peaking)
- Visible veins
- Mild headaches
- Vivid dreams

- Severe or persistent headache
- Vision changes
- Heavy bleeding

Ask your doctor about first-trimester screening (nuchal translucency scan) usually done between weeks 11–13.
