Baby's size

The size of a jicama / large squash — about 42.4cm.

What's happening

Baby's bones are hardening (except the skull, which stays soft and flexible for delivery). Toenails and fingernails are fully formed. Baby practices breathing movements more consistently.

Your body

Your prenatal visits likely increase to every 2 weeks from here.

Common symptoms

  • Strong movement
  • Backache
  • Swelling
  • Shortness of breath

  • Reduced fetal movement
  • Regular painful contractions
