Baby's size
About the size of a sesame seed — 2mm.
What's happening
Baby's heart is beginning to form and will start beating this week. The neural tube (future brain and spinal cord) is developing.
Your body
Rising hormones may bring early pregnancy symptoms in full force.
Common symptoms
- Fatigue
- Nausea
- Frequent urination
- Sore breasts
- Mood changes

- Heavy bleeding
- Severe cramping
- Shoulder-tip pain (ectopic warning)

Continue folic acid daily. Small, frequent snacks and staying hydrated help early nausea more than large meals.
