Baby's size
About the size of a blueberry — 10mm.
What's happening
Baby's face is starting to take shape. Arm and leg buds are lengthening, and the brain is developing rapidly.
Your body
Your uterus has doubled in size. Blood volume is starting to increase.
Common symptoms
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Frequent urination
- Constipation may begin
When to call your doctor
- Heavy bleeding with cramping
- Severe one-sided pain
- Fainting

Constipation is common — increase water, fibre-rich fruits and vegetables, and stay gently active. Ask your doctor before using any laxative.
